Just noticed that you have Voss. Have you read it? There is a Voss Journey on this weekend in Canberra run by the National Film and Sound Archives, to celebrate some overdue anniversaries. Makes me feel I should read Voss one day ;-)

I'm also reading from the 1001 list, have you seen the LT group?

These four books have really made me interested in doing further readings in regards to how consciousness and Buddhism are approached in works of fiction. If anyone knows of any other books that are along these lines please let me know.

An old favorite of mine is Chronicles of Tao by Deng Ming-Dao. Kim Stanley Robinson has an interesting take on Eastern spirituality in his Years of Rice and Salt, and actually also includes a good bit of Buddhism in his global warming trilogy (beginning with Forty Signs of Rain). Also, check out Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light, it's hysterical.

If you get a chance to read any of these, I'd love to hear what you thought.
