Sobre mimOften described in terms of decibels, I'm happy, optimistic, and have enjoyed the roller-coaster ride that is my life. I'm far too busy to be doing this, but I'm also gifted at wasting time. I love my friends, and they usually smile and laugh when asked about me. What more could I ask? I have a wonderful husband, and a great kid, three dogs, and a cat.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaI'll read anything put in front of my face, except for mathematic textbooks. My library is built up of books handed down from my dad (also an avid reader), odd books picked up at library sales, yard sales, and, of course, Barnes and Noble. I love books that make me reconsider orthodox dogma. If I really like a book, I tend to buy everything that author has ever written, unless I get tired of his/her style. I have a huge selection of hymnals, just for fun. Love the classics, love biographies, love birdwatching.

Also, you can follow this year's Redmen team on www.joedrape.com. First game is Sept. 4th. We'll have highlights and other things, like Ivan's Echo, which is already up, on the site.
Thanks again,
Joe

Relative I am! Give me the strength to walk
The soft earth, a relative to all that is!
Give me the eyes to see and the strength
To understand, that I may be like you. With
Your power only can I face the winds.

My daughter's friend, Alex, has a whole bunch of pretty normal sized moles....a lot on his face. Maybe I can send you a pic of him when my daughter gets home....you know how kids are with facebook. I remember hearing his mom say once that they have to keep an eye on the moles because he is at greater risk of something...but she never elaborated. It's just like anything in life...you never realize about certain things unless you know someone involved or you yourself become involved. What happens neurologically if the nevi are on the brain? Does it typically progress or are you just born with certain nevi the way they are? I will send the pic when she gets home....she is gassing up her car!

I looked at your website. Very impressive! Good for you. It was very informative and interesting. I never knew much about the topic. My daughter's good friend has lots of nevi all over his face and body and I know he gets checked out by a dermatologist regularly.
My daughter and I are going to watch Tara Road. Later, comrade! lol

I think you have a kindred spirit out East! I liked your unequivocal positive review of Atlas Shrugged (one of my favorites) so I decided to check out your library. I am guessing you are on the conservative side, Christian, love animals, collect antiques and have one daughter. Same here! lol My, you've written a lot of reviews, so you might differ from me in at least one way...you seem to be a bit more industrious! Your reviews are very good, by the way. You have given me a number of ideas for books to put on my list. I see you read An Inconvenient Book...I have that hanging around here somewhere...haven't gotten to it yet. Do you watch his show in the evening on CNN? I love it. It's very informative and I think he's a riot. You also like Bill O'Reilly. My husband and I watch his show pretty faithfully. It's nice to find like-minded people on LT!

There's probably a more elegant way to post a link. But...gah!

"If you're looking for something light and not too challenging this might be it. Reminded me a bit of 'The Walking Drum' because the adventure story pulls you forward right through some not too stellar writing. I got confused in a couple of places where the story wasn't very clear. Had me bamboozled to the end. I can see how the end was crafted- no, formulated - no, structured shows that this guy writes for TV. The basic premise was a bit of a yawn in the way Casauban's 'The Key to all Mythologies' - 'MiddleMarch' would have been a yawn - it's already been done! Loved the geography. Escapism."
I'm kinda tired of the argument about if Jesus was just a man would it make any difference? Your thoughts.
My Dutch book service isn't offering 'Born in Blood' but I've got it on my wish list for now. Thanks for the recommendation.

So we share the same opinion of [The Secret]. What a stupid name for something is anything but a secret! Anyway what book(s) in my library did you find appealing? Just curious.
