Oct '09: I've joined the 1010 Challenge. Here is my thread.
Also racing to complete the 75 Books in 2009 Challenge.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaA combination of what I own and what I've read -- still in development. I've added many books from my childhood, many of which I still have tucked away. If I remember reading them, I'll add my two cents in a review. Where I have tags reflecting a period of schooling (elementary, middle school, etc.), this is when I read the book -- not necessarily the recommended target age.

Of all things it is Cowboyneal and to the left of that is slashdot. I have no idea why, it makes no sense to me.
Any ideas?

If you really enjoy Fforde's worth his website is also worth checking out - very funny. A few really dedicated fans have deciphered all the books pointing out the source for all the names/facts/puns it's amazing how manay I'd missed.

Are you a librarian or a librarian in training?
Don't mind my rude questions, I am incurably curious.

I cannot thank you enough for your post on the "Name That Book" group. I have been trying to find out the name of "I Would If I Could" forever. You have solved a great mystery for me. I read that book a million times when I was little. The version I always checked out of the Baltimore County Public Library was a hard cover with a blue spine with a picture of a girl with pigtails who had just fallen off her bicycle. You have made my day and my whole weekend!
Are you originally from MD? I am and now live in Southern PA, just over the MD/PA line. My best friend graduated from UM's library science master's program about ten years ago and, after working her way up, is about to start a new job as a branch manager in the Carroll County library system. Good luck with your studies!
