Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

Thanks for your very good concise review of "Bitterly Divided" by David Williams...

There seems to be no shortage of dubious alternative "history" books on "What if the South had won ?" but very few, if any, on
what might have happened if there had been no war at all - if Southern politicians had dropped the issue of pressing Slavery into the West, if the planters and slave breeders had realized their economic model was obsolete, if the majority poor non-slaveholding whites had actually had a voice in the decision to Secede?

Do you know of any books which may touch on these possibilities ??
I just discovered that someone, namely you, posting information about Rose Ayers, the author of The Street Sparrows. I knew that was a pseudonym but had no luck in tracking down the author's name(in case she had written more books). I guessed it might be a person who wrote the book while in graduate school and used the pseudonym for professional reasons. This may have been the case, but I got the timing wrong.

I found the paperback in a little general store in Michigan when I was on vacation, in 1975 I think. I was entranced; a perfect mix of romantic Victorian drama with characters developed from appealing architypes but with strong individuality.

How did you come across this information?
Hey can u give me some info on the characters in the book a Rich Full Death. I might want to read the book but i want to know about the most important characters and maybe some things that they did.
