Sobre mimI am a special ed teacher for students on the autism spectrum and behavior disorders.
I have been a life long reader. I find my tastes in books vary with what is going on in my life. For awhile I was into fantasy, lately it seems to be non-fiction. I have always been a contemporary fiction fanatic, but recently have been diving into classics and graphic novels.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaThis is a small part of my library - what I have accumulated since I have moved. The rest is boxed up at my parents house until I can get more space.

Since 2003, I have cataloged what I have read in a journal, giving a synopsis and rating scale. Once I found LT, I am also cataloging on here as well as the journal. So anything tagged "borrowed" I have read, but do not own.

I go through spurts of heavily relying on the library and buying books. I am trying not to buy as many books this year, but am not doing so well.

I have a lot of young adult literature because I took an extremely interesting class on YA lit, that had swayed what I read for a few years. I am still trying to read as many books as I can from the list my professor gave me. I also collect children's books - those are cataloged under the profile jayde-kid.

Hi Jess

Many thanks for your kind birthday message! It means a lot.

Hugs,
Linda
Thanks for adding BannedBooksLibrary to your Interesting Libraries. Happy Reading!
Noticed you liked She's Come Undone, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's downward spiral and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

This is a note to say I hope you are healed and feeling much better now that surgery is behind you.

Happy Holiday to you!
I'm simply stopping by to ask how you are feeling and to say I hope your recovery from surgery is going well and that you are having pain free days and nights.

Take good care,
Linda

Princeton Maine is located near the St. Croix river (flowage). It is West of Eastport and one of the nearest towns is Calis. It is VERY close to the Canadian border.

We love it there, but it is a very poor area. The Downriver camp is very rustic and we go there with friends who have rented cabins at the camp for years.

It is so very relaxing.
Hi Jess

Thanks for the very nice response to my post on your link regarding my memory of my grandmother and her words re. nature shows.

I note you are from the state I love... Maine is so incredibly beautiful. We vacation in Princeton for a week in the summer. We stay at a rustic camp called DownRiver Camps. It is my favorite vacation thing to do...simply watch the stars and listen to the loons.
Glad you are going to join us. I have a 'Group Reads - War and Peace' thread started on the 75 Books Challenge already, so there will be several of us. I think it is going to be interesting getting everyone's viewpoint as we go along!
