Sobre mim P. W. Haile is librarian at Clemson Montessori School, Clemson, SC.

J. M. Haile is writer, editor, designer, and publisher at Macatea Productions, http://www.macatea.com/

Sobre a minha biblioteca Looking at all of our tags, one can see that the library contains a large amount of genre fiction and science of all kinds. There is also a smattering of many other subjects as we both have an omnivorous taste in reading materials. This represents thirty-five years of collecting together and has survived numerous moves.

Ratings and reviews: These are primarily the opinion of pwh. As I have added books, I've come across a few that I wanted to say something about and so wrote a short review. If I only want to say that I think it is an excellent example of its type then it received a rating. Therefore my average rating is high but only a small number of books have received ratings at this point.

More reviews (by jmh) of recently published, nonfiction books are posted at http://www.macatea.com/attic/

Just wanted to say.... Howdy neighbor! Thanks for the libraries you've entered. There are many I'm not aware of. Isn't it fantastic to see our area map populated?
Hailelib, I just got curious, seeing some kind comments about library size, and realized I'd often seen you (singular or plural) about, but never looked at your profile. I love your photo; and the Mercedes Lackey quote is hysterical! Of course I don't think of mine as a treasure hoard...... ;)
Thanks for the comments, Tricia! Yes, eventually, after I get all my books added, I'd like to start "cataloging" all my clocks, etc. on a site like squirl.com. But for now, I'll just keep plugging away at the books. (I've got all the upper shelves entered into LT as of today, and need to start on the majority of paperbacks which are in the lower shelves). Thanks again. Cheers, John
Following excerpt is from One Good Knight by Mercedes Lackey, p. 219.

"Well, our family does that, too, of course," he said. "But our treasure is a bit different. We're librarians." ...

"Librarians," she said aloud, then grinned as she got it. "Good gods. You are Bookwyrms, aren't you?"

Gina stared at her a moment, then groaned as she got the pun. The Tradition loved puns.

"Yes, we are, " Periapt said proudly. "very much so. ... My library is cataloged and cross-cataloged and I have read every book in it at least once. I also collect all manner of information and I have created books of my own." ...

...Adamant said ..."Besides, the pure Bookwyrms need someone to defend them, right? There are always nasty Magicians trying to steal things out of the hoard."

"The library," Periapt corrected him.

"Um, yes, the library."
