Sobre mim I was born in Kansas, raised in Oklahoma, educated in Rhode Island, attended seminary in New Jersey, cut my teeth as a pastor in Iowa, and currently serve a small church in New York.
My wife gives me a hard time saying that I will not read anything with a plot. She's right. I tend to read books about things - how to do things - new ways of doing things- and the like.
Sobre a minha biblioteca My library is a collection of several different libraries. My wife's grandfather became a pastor in the 1940's and gave us his entire theological library when we graduated from seminary. My mother also went to seminary in the 1980's and handed down a number of volumes when she retired. Of course, we have our personal libraries from college and seminary. Most recently I rescued a resource library that was headed for the dumb when our regional governing body offices where being moved.

Welcome to LibraryThing. Haven't decided whether it's a good thing or not for those of us with a "book problem."
Hey, you're the only person on LibraryThing with more books by Peter Taylor Forsyth than I have. Were those inherited or actually sought out? In fact, I probably don't have all mine entered. But I have read most of them, a couple of them several times ("The Person and Place of Jesus Christ", "Soul of Prayer", and an anthology).
I grew up in Nebraska and lived 8 years in Norman, OK (the 70's). Now an American Bapt. pastor in Nebraska.
I do occasionally read a book with a plot, but it's gotten down to maybe one or two a year since I became a full-time pastor again.
