Sobre mimTo be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting.

Life's not a paragraph And death i think is no parenthesis.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaItems listed as formerly owned by me and now in the possession of the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, University of Texas at Austin. Since I shared this library with Marion Morehouse, some of these books came in after I went out.

On the places category on your Member Page:

This is a very small point, but [The Scarlet Letter] should not be listed under "Boston"; it is in Hawthorne's native Salem, another Puritan, but a very different settlement and the [Antigone] of [Sophocles should not be listed under "Egypt". (It takes place completely in Thebes (or, Sophocles, an Athenian's, idea of ancient Thebes.

I realize now that these Place-connections aren't made by the members, but by L T from pre-ordained lists (mostly lists that are connected with very well known works. (When I first joined, about mid-year 2009, I thought compiling such a list by an individual member would be interesting -- but difficult!

We noticed that you were a Jorge Luis Borges fan, and we wanted to let you know that we've just published a brand new translation of his story, "Gradus Ad Parnassum," in our anthology, 'flatmanCROOKED – First Winter.' "Gradus Ad Parnassum" is not currently in print in English, so we're rather excited to publish what is to many Borges fans brand new work. The book also includes debut fiction from National Book Award winner Ha Jin, as well as stories from myriad other established and emerging authors. Check the book out at www.flatmancrooked.com/fmcmarket.html. If you get it through our website, it's significantly cheaper than through Amazon or Barnes & Noble!
