Sobre a minha biblioteca My wife has more books than I do.

I have mine in my own database, that's now in its fourth database system:
Superbase on Commodore 64/128 (several versions)
Microfiche Filer Plus on Amiga
Filemaker Pro on Mac/Windows (several versions)
Postgresql on Linux.

Hi Dean,

You have a lonely copy of Numerical Recipes in C because you list Flannery as the author instead of William H. Press (they are both authors but, on my edition at least, Press is listed first). If you changed the author you should be able to combine it with the rest. Alternatively, if you added an ISBN to your record that might make it combinable without changing the author. Thanks.
Hi dean,

Can you tell me what Vigilante - 21st Century is about, if you happen to recall?

Thanks,

bt
The Library of Congress identifies your Michael Lewis of "England's sea officers" as Michael Arthur Lewis.
If you edit yours to Lewis, Michael Arthur, then it would be pulled out of the overpopulated Michael Lewis page.
What would it take to inherit your language/linguistics collection? I'm drooling!

Yes, mine does have the ISBN, but for some reason, the program wants to put them together.
It seems you are the only other person who has 'The egg shaped thing'. More people should read Christopher Hodder Williams!
Well, your book "The Man Who Hunted Jack the Ripper" seems to have the same ISBN as my "Savor Maryland's Flavor" cookbook. So that is making the two unlikely books merge as if they were one book.
I thought I was the only one on the planet with a copy of Yobgorgle! But I see we share the same taste is some mysteries as well.

Cool!
Even though I only have about 150 of my 1,000 or so books up here so far, you already match me on an even dozen, way more than anyone else. Given the number of books you have, that wouldn't be odd, except we're hitting on weird topics like conspiracy, brain function, and magic. Throw in the fact that I used to be the editor of INFO, a magazine for Commodore 64 and Amiga users, and it gets just plain strange. :)
FYI ... I've downloaded the cover image for Book of Garlic, just in case you're interested. Happy reading! Susan
Yikes! I am unworthy! As a librarian, I don't believe I can ever have too many books. You have taken my belief to new heights!
Was puttering through my list of books and noticed one of yours seems to be merging with one of mine. But the weird part is mine is a cookbook, yours is a non fiction on Jack the Ripper. Is this a glitch we need to report to Tim?
Jeesh! Amazing collection; I'm curious (like the other posters) how you store / display / manage them all. Do you have shelves through the house, or a "library" per se (in its own room or rooms), or what? :)
Your wife has more? Wow. Whoever you bought bookshelves from would have been a happy retailer!
Hi, I would like to know how did you put your "Random books" widget into your profile. Thank you
You're the only with 'sfbooks' as tag. Other users have 'sf' or 'science fiction'.
What to do about it ?
No wonder we have so many books in common - I think you have more books than a library - where do you fit it all? Do you live in a house of many rooms? - I thought I had a half decent collection of books until I found this site, and even though I have yet to finish cataloguing my books, I will be nowhere near those like you whose collections are in the thousands .... I am not worthy !
Apparently science fiction is a strong correlation coefficient.
No insult intended! We are just jealous! Until this list, we did not know of anyone who was even close to the number of books we have, but it seems there are quite a few. We don't expect to stay third for much longer. What data base do you use besides this one? I started to use Microsoft Access, but it was laborious! This is much easier and more comprehensive.

Wow! I bow before you! :-)
May I ask, how have you managed to put so many books up so quickly? Oh, and how do you house such a magnificent collection? :)
You have quite the collection! And I'm just looking at the fantasy and sci fi books we have in common.
