Sobre a minha bibliotecaWe are an on-the-small side library who would like to be a part of the on-the-big side tech library world. So we're jumping feet-first into Library Thing and hoping for the best. Right now, we're mostly adding new(ish) books to Library Thing. Find (in collections) adult ("your library"), teen, African American, and children's books to browse! We'd love to be more connected with other SC libraries, but we'd most of all love to be connected with YOU, our patrons! Please take awhile to browse our collections and see what you can find.
Bonus to patrons: Creating your own LibraryThing account will allow you to catalog your own personal books OR keep track of what you've read at the library! No more guessing; it can all be right here! It's easy AND free! Please, come join us in cyberspace!
As an additional note, we have a huge local history / genealogy collection that can't be cataloged here, but please feel free to call or e-mail us with any history or gen questions that you have-- we're always happy to help however we can.
We invite comments and reviews, from our own patrons and whoever else has a penny's worth of thoughts!

- Andrew Jackson Downing (including a brief quote from “acute essayist,” Ralph Waldo Emerson’s Essay XIII Gifts (1844).
Though other things grow fair against the sun,
Yet fruits that blossom first will first be ripe.
- William Shakespeare, Othello the Moor of Venice
What plant we in this apple tree?
Sweets for a hundred flowery springs
To load the May-wind's restless wings,
When, from the orchard-row, he pours
Its fragrance through our open doors;
A world of blossoms for the bee,
Flowers for the sick girl's silent room,
For the glad infant sprigs of bloom,
We plant with the apple tree.

As for our Sat, GED and ACT ya they are always getting lost or stolen. We can never keep them. I think they put a tracking device on them! Then when the police show up at there door, I bet they will never steel again. LOL

You may want to contact Halle Eisenman, one of our Bluffton Branch librarians, who is heading up our adult summer reading program this year: heisenman@bcgov.net. Maybe you both could share ideas.
