Sobre mimI am a twenty-something librarian and book lover. I have always loved reading, which is what I do with most of my free time. When I'm not reading, I watch Lost faithfully and enjoy watching sports (football, baseball, and tennis). I have a habit of coming up with odd bits of trivia that no one cares about and obscure words make me ridiculously happy.

My 999 x 2 thread

Sobre a minha bibliotecaI read and own a lot of young adult and fantasy. I'm a fairly eclectic reader, however, with a fair amount of contemporary fiction, cozy mysteries, and classics thrown into the mix.

About my collections:
"Your library" includes books I actually own.
"To Read" is mostly books that I own and have not read.
"Read But Unowned" is pretty self-explanatory - the date read starts in 2006, when I started keeping track.
"Wishlist" includes books that I've read and want to own.
"Old Books" are a small vintage collection I have, books that were bought merely for their age and not necessarily read or representative of my interests.
"Currently reading" is kept pretty up-to-date with the exception of books that I read too fast to put there in the first place.
"School Books" are books that are in my mental repertoire but read because I was an English major pre-2006 (though I kept a handful that are still in my library).

About my ratings:
I rate based on how well I liked a book; I refuse to make a judgment about a story's innate worth because I recognize the variety of taste in readers, and even how my own mood can affect what I think when I'm reading. That being said, here's what I mean when I say -
1 star - hated it with a passion.
2 stars - didn't like it.
2.5 stars - I really don't know if I liked it or not
3 stars - sort of liked it, I guess; or didn't, but admired something about it despite not liking it
4 stars - I liked it alright but it's not outstanding, maybe with some flaws or just didn't hit me right.
4.5 stars - excellent, perhaps a flaw or two, but ultimately a satisfying read, and may or may not be a reread (most of my reads go here).
5 stars - I adore this book OR I would definitely reread this OR Wow. Just...wow

I very rarely finish a book I would rate lower than a 3, and if I read anything 3 or less you will soon find it in my "Previously owned" collection if it isn't already unowned.
