Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to learn a little more about the book before you commit:

Hi Lisa
Recently finished Love in the Asylum which I enjoyed very much. I will definitely check out your other novels.

"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful;
for beauty is God's handwriting ~ a wayside sacrament.
Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower,

I was recently pulled into "Every Visible Thing" when I asked a student what she was reading. Turns out I had to steal her book and finish it. Very well done. I was drawn in by the 80's feeling I was getting. It turns out we were both born in 1970. In the back of this book it states that you received your BA from BC in 1988. I thought crap, she's a genious. The website revealed the actual dates. Not that you are any less genious. I wanted to compliment you on a well written story that is sure to grab the attention of teens today. I will reccommend it to those students of mine that I know have some Lena and Owen in them. Thank you.

You and me and no others, Axel, with The Life and Times of Captain N. Now that I see you are a dog, I am not sure this connection reflects favorably on me, or, frankly, you.

I had a high fever the weekend I read it. Made for a memorably surreal reading experience.

Quasi-magical historical fiction may have more to recommend it than this.

Yours, etc.

On Library Thing, nobody knows you're a dog.

I absolutely loved "The Mermaids Singing." I recall not being able to put that book down until I finished and got to the very last page.

I'll have to check out your others.

Dear Axel...
Please tell your mother that I was sent her new novel as part of the first look program from HarperCollins. I just signed up for librarything today and started listing my books...(barely scratched the surface)...and Every Visable Thing showed up as a shared title. Your mother has made magic on those 306 pages. I felt as if every character was turned inside out and that I knew them intimately. Please give her my deepest respect and regards...as well as my thanks, it was a wonderful ride.
My Best,
DianaCoats
