yeah, that can be a problem with reading lists. They can just grow and grow.
Tomorrow. Well OK, by that I mean my tomorrow since I'm guessing you're at least 7 hours ahead of me which would it make it tomorrow already for you. ehm... good night.
Looking at the genetics books has put me in the mind of asking a question. What do you think makes a being a person? Is it simply a matter of it being a homosapien? Are all humans persons? Can other species, as a whole, or individual members within, be considered persons? Can anything that is not a human be a person? I am using person here to distinguish those being whose 'rights', morally, must be respected. Then again, perhaps this assertion that there are beings whose rights ought to be respected will be contentious. Anyway, does intelligence play any part in the determination? How about the ability to feel pain? What about the cases where non-humans score higher than some humans? An adult chimp can be more intelligent than a human with severe brain damage. Should robots be considered persons if they have inside them the brain of a former person? Well of course this is territory that has been explored before... still, it's quite the question for me. I think actually I'll post this at ACP.
Hey, it's ss from lastfm. I just woke up from an afternoon siesta. I'll poke around your library after I've shaken the sleep off.
Noticed you liked Fight Club, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed bunch of kids and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit.

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for your recommendation. I've already read the first two books and I'm sorry to say that I didn't really care for the plot or characters at all, so I'll probably never buy the series.
