Sobre a minha bibliotecaI'm a former librarian. My personal holdings have been more extensive in the past than now;at the height of my collecting I had a personal reading and reference library of about 6000 volumes. Now I have 3k in storage (and it's killing me, not having them all handy when I need them!) and probably a meager near-1000 in my immediate bedroom/office area. Yes, I really do use all those books, at one time or another - often for reference for things I'm writing or researching - and yes, I've read just about every one I own. I HATE to borrow books, because I am fond of marginal notes and once I have a book I don't want to part with it. Which also means I rarely patronize libraries, since they rather expect their holdings to return, now don't they? :)
Initially here I'll catalog only my current things I'm whuffling through, plus things I can get to easily like my amazon.com purchase records. My larger general collection I'll get to if/when I have time.

Just by chance I happened across your LT library page. I'm cataloging some of my books, and entered yours. :-) I looked at some of the other publications in the list of your published and owned works on LT and who had them, and on clicking to this page I saw your picture above looks an AWFUL lot like the photo on the "Deborah Christian author" page. And sure enough...
Well, I read Mainline and Kar Kalin. I throughly enjoyed them! I bought The Truthsayer's Apprentice but never read it - I always wait for all three of a series before I start it. But then the rest of the series never appeared! Since I found your page here, I wondered if you'd mind me asking what happened? Did you get tired of writing? Is it dead forever? I was looking and waiting for a long time for that next book. :-) It always feels like a sort of tragedy when a series gets started but never finished. Not so much for the readers who will forget about it, but for the author who puts so much of themselves, their heart and soul, into something and no doubt has dreams and then something goes wrong and it never gets finished.
I'm guessing I'll never show up in your list of "Members with Teramis's books" unless you'd go WAY to the bottom. Or unless your uncataloged works are a lot more narrow than your eclectic library here. But your cataloged collection is pretty amazing. You must be an astonishing person to know, having actually READ all this stuff! Not to mention given some of the other info on this page. You must be a heck of a fast reader. Wish I was the same. I tell myself "but I get a lot more out of the books I read because I read them slowly," but in fact, probably I don't, I just read slow. Oh well.
Well, I am pretty curious about what happened with that series and your fiction writing. I guess your "mission" probably diverged. If you get a chance, drop me a note.
Thanks,
Jim
