Sobre mimAvid reader and bookcrosser.

I will read just about anything, but I draw the line at romances.

I particularly like modern writers like Margaret Atwood, Sarah Waters, Paul Auster and Jonathan Safran Foer. Oh, and really expensive, fancy cook books (just to drool over).

True, the pudding basin haircut is not the best - but did you notice the jacket? The reason I love this photo is that you can see my mother's skill in handcrafts: she not only knitted that dear little jacket and the skivvy (as indeed she made all our clothes) but also the curtains behind me. She even taught herself to upholster chairs!

Hi Rebecca
It is funny with our different reactions to books and you can take it quite personally when a book you just loved is not experienced in the same way by another reader. Still we would not have much to talk about if we were all the same now would we? LOL

Susan Johnson is very friendly and we have been chatting quite a bit about Revolutionary Road and the topic of parallel importing here in Australia which is up for review. Although sadly I think she is considering taking herself off here at LT due to time constraints. However she has a blog so it will still be possible to chat. She has a new book out later in the year titled My Hundred Lovers so that is one to look forward to.

Yes have had Q&A on the tbr and I should take it down and make it a priority with the movie gaining such praise. This was one of my first mooched books. I like to read the novels before seeing the films as if I do it in reverse I have no inclination to read it then.

David Erbersoff (?spelling)is another author on here and so is Australian author Wendy James. She sent me a copy of her book which was nice and I must read that one soon too. It seems that when you have a book in your library by a Lt author they automatically go onto your profile page. So many books is overwhelming me at present. I saw an interesting question posted on the message board Do you think you will live long enough to read all the books on your Tbr? OOOOh what a scarey thought.

Enjoy your last week and I bet you are wondering where that time has gone. Alex is 19 in a few weeks OMG!!!
