Sobre mimne'er do well, dilettante, ecchi, unskilled but enthusiastic practitioner of the martial arts, unskilled but enthusiastic motorcyclist, unskilled but enthusiastic user of linux, untrained and ambivalent forklift operator, reader of things both fun and profound... preferably both... more the former than the latter of the past few years, lover of science & educational programs, lover of cartoons and all things that don't take themselves seriously, lover of boobs and the women that are attached to them, 14 year old at heart if not in body.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaThese are the books I own minus the ones I regret buying (what's the point of putting them in my library if I don't like them?) plus a few I've lost, or lent and didn't get back, or gave away for one reason or another (cause after all they should technically be in my possession...they're just not...and most of them I wish still were) plus some that I've read, loved, but have never owned though I would like to, plus some that I've never read or owned but am curious about. There are many others that should be on these lists, especially when it comes to books unowned, lost or curious about, but I can't think of them all right now. (but I suppose they couldn't have been that important to me if I forgot what they were), and a few (alright more than a few) that I haven't gotten around to reading yet, and to be perfectly honest some of these I will probably never read.
My rating system is pretty relaxed. It's based about 80% on how much I enjoyed the book, 10% on literary quality as I judge it and 10% on my sentimental and capricious nature. If you look at my ratings you'll see most of them lean towards the higher end because, after all, what's the point of adding a book to my library if I didn't like it?
[Note: I didn't bother finding the exact editions I own, though I only see this making a difference in the case of translations for which I did try to find the editions I own.]

Dude I"ve been on SHelfari.com for awhile. I haven't updated. My address there is www.shelfari.com/thebookburglar
This site probably meets your technical needs more but check it out all the same.
I'm sorry, I don't check my LT comments nearly enough! Thanks for what you said about my review of Night Watch - it's one of my favourite books, and I'm glad you agreed.

I owned Three Men In A Boat first - it's been my favourite book since I was eleven or twelve - and my partner insisted I read the Connie Willis as a counterpoint. I like it a lot, but not as much as the original.
