thank you for your kind reply.
We share many of the same kinds of interests in books.
Zee is a fluid physicist, materials physicist, biophysicist,
he taught optics and acoustics, in Denmark,
he has taught meditation for 40+ years,
he has meditation / deep relaxation scripts and hypnosis scripts.
Sheldrake's work is very meaningful, we have a number of his books,
though not yet catalogued.
I recently quite enjoyed reading the one about the 7 experiments
that could change the world.
Zee coined the phrase the 'metaneural network'
which operates between living beings.
He has a background in magnetics.

I just finished reading yoru post, a sporting biography of Former Olympic Gold medal winner Audley Harrison Realising The Dream.

I haven't much thought about boxing really. Saw Rambo and couldn't understand why anyone would want to be involved in that sport. Still, today I can't say that I understand.

Four years back I met a boxer. He was such a gentle man, loving and kind. Pictures of him in the ring, his awards and trophies, were on his wall beside his bed. He told me stories and how he traveled the world. He told me that many called him "Gentleman Joe". Often ladies couldn't believe that this same man would fight in a ring with another man. He was a special man. He was a proud man. When he spoke of his love of this sport I could see that it was more than beating the opponant. I did come to understand that one has to feel the love of this spport in order to be a part of it.

I only wish I knew him years before. I grew to love this man. He often asked where I had been all his life. He had been a happily married man but he always said that he would have found a way to fit me into his life. I only knew him for a short time before he died alone.

I knew him for less than a year and knew that no one ever came to visit him in the nursing home. Here laid a champion boxer, frail and alone with his life achievement on his wall. I don't understand why we connected the way we did, but we did. He was 92 and I was in my middle 40s.

I wanted to share my story with you about the boxer I will always love..
